ROGER H. ALGIE
Owner
Principal Designer/Consultant
Roger has more than 35 years experience
in the commercial and residential design and construction industry.
In that time he's acted as principal designer, design and permit drawing
team leader, project coordinator, tendering, and project manager on a variety
of projects.
For
the last 25 years, Roger has specialized in single and multiple family
residential dwellings, with a special interest in low energy/environmentally sustainable housing. In
fact, his work has been specifically reflected in the R2000 program sponsored
by the Canadian government.
This attention to energy conscious housing
has given him expertise not just in Architectural design, but also in the
state-of-the-art Mechanical and Electrical design and water and waste reduction.
This work in the low energy field has led
him into the related area of low pollution/hyper-susceptible housing, and
he has been involved in the design and construction of a number of projects
for hypersensitive families.
Roger formed Just Homes in 1984 to fulfill
a long-time personal goal of extending his services to the custom residential
market. He has extensive experience in the architectural vernacular
of environmentally sustainable buildings, and also in the often-sensitive
dealings with local building and zoning regulations.
